Barolo Comune di La Morra 2021
Barolo Comune di La Morra 2021
SKU 6069
This historic estate in La Morra, dating back to the mid-1800s, is now being
run by the sixth generation brother-sister team of Andrea and Elisa Marchetti.
Marcarini's renowned Barolo wines are amongst the regions most classic and their
cantina still uses some of the oldest and largest botti.
Barolo Comune
is made with grapes from both their La Serra and Brunate vineyards, with a
shorter time on skins and in oak.
Lustrous mid ruby with orange
tinges. A little dusty at first, then stones and red fruit with hints of raw
rhubarb. Elegant palate weight with long wild-strawberry and raspberry fruit.
Firm tannins but playing second fiddle. Almost a little exotic. Complex. Lithe.
