Nerello Mascalese is the red grape on Sicily's Mount Etna, Europe's largest and most active volcano. It is a late ripening grape that is light in colour (similar to Pinot Noir) with red fruits, tobacco and floral notes, the palate light to medium bodied with mineral notes and refreshing acidity.
