Collection: Sangiovese

Sangiovese is Italy's most planted red grape and is grown in many regions, from Emilia Romagna to Sardinia. However, Tuscany is its home where, depending on the town, its known by several different names. In Montalcino its Brunello, in the Maremma on the Tuscan coast its Morellino and in Montepulciano its Prugnolo Gentile.  Sangiovese is also the grape in Chianti.

Sangiovese is typically fruity with notes of cherry, flowers, earth and liquorice, the palate medium bodied with firm acidity. These factors make Sangiovese a perfect partner to grilled meats and pasta with ragu.
