Chianti Classico is the historical heartland and most famous of the Chianti regions, located between Florence and Siena. The wines must be a minimum of 80% Sangiovese and the area is divided into 11 different zones: Castellina, Castelnuovo Berardenga, Gaiole, Greve, Lamole, Montefioralle, Panzano, Radda, San Casciano, San Donato in Poggio, and Vagliagli.

Chianti Classico is a delight to drink, fresh and juicy with cherry fruit and floral notes and can age superbly, especially Riserva and Gran Selezione wines.
