We discovered this on our recent trip to Palermo when we were encouraged to have another drink, purely for medicinal and restorative purposes ;)

After many years abroad Antonio Barone returned to Palermo to rediscover his roots with an idea to craft a modern version of an old family amaro recipe based on alloro, bay laurel. In Greek mythology the bay tree was a symbol of courage and strength and the leaves were revered for their healing properties. Antonio has crafted a stunning amaro, unlike anything we have tasted, and we can certainly attest to its healing properties after eating too much in Palermo.
