Established in 1964 in the beautiful village of Monterosso al Mare, one of
the five villages of Liguria's famed Cinque Terre coastline, today Stefano
Bergamino and Camilla Moggia continue the family tradition of producing a wide
range of spirits and liqueurs. Alpicella was first created by a monk in 1630 as
an offering to pilgrims who visited the Monastery in Velva, high in the
mountains above Monterosso. This ancient formula includes 32 mountain herbs and
can be enjoyed on ice or with a splash of soda.
