From the 'Bastia' cru, located next to the winery at 500 metres above sea
level. Fermented and aged in barrique for twelve months, Fabio keeps the
wine on its lees but avoids battonage and uses minimal sulphur. Straw yellow
with elegant bouquet of yellow flowers, butter, banana and honey, the palate
fresh and full flavoured. There is some very good Chardonnay in northern Italy
and this is right up there with the best.
