Greco is one of Italy's most important grapes and, in true Italian style, the grape can also be one of the most confusing, with a large family of Greco wines produced throughout southern Italy. But it is in the village of Tufo, which lends its name to the wine, and the surrounding area where Greco really established its reputation as one of the best whites of the peninsula. At RussoBruno the vineyards are grown at 500-600 metres in volcanic soils with a high presence of sulphur. This combination produces a minerally and flinty Greco, with delicate herbal notes, white flowers and hints of stone fruit.
