Made by our friend Fabio Fantino, this tiny vineyard of less than half a
hectare is also the regions highest at 530 metres.
"The 2017
Barolo del Comune di Monforte d’Alba from Bricco Giubellini is gorgeous. Sweet,
perfumed and beautifully lifted, the 2017 shows off all of the allure this
high-altitude site is capable of. Sweet macerated cherry, mint, spice, orange
peel and raspberry linger on the persistent, slightly nervous finish. Bricco
Giubellini remains one of Piedmont's undiscovered gems. The 2017 will appeal
most to readers who enjoy fragrant, mid-weight Barolos.'' 92 points, Antonio
